How do you get to Gudhjem and Klippen Hotel?

Gudhjem lies on the north-east coast of Bornholm, about a 30-minute drive from Rønne, where both the ferry and the plane arrive. Here are your options for getting to Bornholm – and on to Gudhjem and Klippen Hotel.

Ferry to Bornholm

All ferries to Bornholm are operated by Bornholmslinjen and arrive in Rønne.

Ystad (Sweden)–Rønne: approx. 1 hour 20 minutes. Several departures a day – up to 8 in summer. The quickest route from Copenhagen and the rest of Denmark.
Køge (Denmark)–Rønne: approx. 5½ hours, one departure a day.
Sassnitz (Germany)–Rønne: approx. 3 hours 20 minutes.
From Poland: There is currently no direct ferry. Sail Świnoujście–Ystad and take the ferry from there to Rønne.

Bus and train

Bus: Kombardo Expressen runs from Copenhagen Bus Terminal and Copenhagen Airport to Rønne. The bus drives onto the ferry in Ystad, and the journey takes about 3½ hours.
Train: With DSB's Bornholm ticket you get train and ferry on one ticket: Øresund train to Malmö/Hyllie, Pågatåg to Ystad and the ferry to Rønne.

Flights to Bornholm Airport (Rønne)

DAT: Copenhagen all year (approx. 35 minutes), plus Billund and Aalborg.
Norwegian: Copenhagen in summer.
Alsie Express: Sønderborg in summer.

From Rønne to Gudhjem

Car: approx. 30 minutes. You can rent a car at the airport and the harbour, e.g. from Avis.
Bus: BAT buses run to Gudhjem. See departures and buy tickets in the Rejseplanen app. There are fewer departures in the evening, so check the time in advance.
Taxi: Dantaxi Bornholm, tel. +45 48 48 48 48 (24 hours), or book in the Dantaxi app.

Once you are in Gudhjem
